    thanks for the link zeke. wow, i don't like this. it sounds like something from a random nobody rock band from the 70's. wolfmother had a modern edge before. this song lacks soul and sounds very dumb.

    This sounded amazing live! And I didn't listen to this one when ian handed me his phone with all wm songs... But all through yesterday night, it was bugging me because I know that riff.. Just hit me.. Reminds me of cheap sunglasses.. Anyone else hear that? Still see this as a big song if they release it.. Which I advice stockdale to do..

    It's growing on me haha. Overall, it's upbeat, catchy and surprisingly, Stockdale's voice holds up. If the band keeps writing songs like this and "Long Way To Go" and drop stuff like "Year of the Dragon" and "Meridian" this should be a good album.

    Year of the dragon sounds REALLY good when it's mastered! Trust me.. It's been really improved and I think it's going to be 2nd to last or last when I checked the order on the iPod..

    The one part sounds alot like Cheap Sunglasses. I kinda agree with Ross, I don't hate the song, but the modern edge is completely gone, and that's a shame.

    I think my problem with that song is it gives off a Spinal Tap vibe. If your song ever gives off a Spinal Tap vibe that's not a good sign. No disrespect to the Tap intended by the way.

    Musically, it just doesn't connect with me. Lyrically it's just too corny. I love lyrics that deal with all sorts of weird stuff (monsters, battles, journeys through space, etc) but Stockdale needs to rework them.

    I agree it does sound at the beginning like Cheap Sunglasses but this has a great feel to it, short and sweet. Kinda like Song 2 by Blur if i was to compare the way i feel about the song, so thats definately a good thing.

    You know this album is going to be good, this could be their big break

    Here's my opinion, now that I've heard some new material I'm temporarily satisfied. I think a lot of these songs are good. They just aren't at their full potential. I think if I have these to listen to they will hold me of long enough for WM to record with an actual producer and then I hope that at that point the songs will be as amazing as they can be.
