Anyone know of Wolfmother taking in a new member to the band?
I heard they we're going to get another guitarist.

It'd be awesome if Andrew (singer, right?) played rythym and the new guy on lead.

I was watching a performance on You Tube (I think Woman) and read some people talking about it as if it was a fact.

Someone posted the rumour on here. It was in reference to something on Wikipedia about the next album. The same article also claimed that the second album would be called Wolfmother II.

Both of these things were unconfirmed for so long that we decided they were false.

i never liked the idea of a new guitarist. i think andrews style of playing/soloing (being less than flashy, blunt, like the music, just plain hard rock). i dont think wolfmother needs a guitarist who can "shred". andrew is the perfect fit.

That's your opinion of course.
I think it would be nice to have a new lead guitarist so there can be cool riffs during the verses, instead of repetitive chords for the verse and a different set of chords for the chorus, and then a solo if you're listening to the right song.

ill admit, after hearing a few "similar" bands that have the 2 guitarists going... that it would be interesting to see the potential wolfmother could be with another guitarist... but i think the band is more dynamic as a trio than a quartet

it would be cool but they wouldnt be the same. Andrews guitar playing may not be the best but has a really awesome and unique sound, so in that regard it is great.

I think the band is great as it is, but if they did decide to add another guitarist, it might be because a second guitarist will fit their "new" sound better. Who knows yet.

well, i think they should exhaust their creativity with the current 3-piece before they start adding a new guitarist for "new sound"
